The first album released by instrumental band Portal from Ames IA! The songs on this album are meant to be pieces of a journey, representing the strangeness of coming into existence in a chaotic world, realizing the balance of nature in contrast with dangerous thought patterns that try to destroy it, and seeking answers of how to progress through it all.

This album was recorded 100% independently by the band, and produced with low amounts of compression in order to give a lot of dynamics to the music. We're definitely not audio engineers yet though :). We hope you enjoy The Unconscious World
